Waste oils will be recycled!

By the end of the year, the Novocherkassk Oleochemistry Plant will start operating in the Novocherkassk Industrial Park, specializing in the processing of soap stock (waste from the refining of oils and the production of fatty acids). The volume of investments in the project amounted to RUR 3 billion ($ 40.87 million), the capacity will be 10,000 - 20,000 tons per year. This is the first such enterprise in the Rostov region.

Now the construction of a glycerin plant (one of the products of soap stock processing) is underway. Soap stock is a waste generated in the process of alkaline refining of vegetable oils and fats. Fatty acids obtained from soap stock are used for the production of soap, glycerin and stearin, for animal husbandry (they are introduced into the diet of animals), in the food industry. Linseed oil soap stock is used in the paint and varnish industry.
