Krasnoyarsk will give China 150K ha of land

China expects to lease 150K ha of land in the Krasnoyarsk Territory for agricultural projects. The Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Anatoly Tsykalov, following the negotiations that took place within the framework of the China International Import Expo, the Chinese partners are also interested in the possibilities of investments in the deep processing of grain and milk of local production.

In 2018, China expects a reduction in wheat yield by about 20%, which may affect the volume of purchases of grain abroad. At the same time, the country is facing a difficult situation with the state of agricultural land: large areas are contaminated with heavy metals due to industrial production and mining enterprises. By the end of the year, it is planned to assess the quality of the soil and draw up a schedule of measures to restore the safe use of agricultural land.
