The profitability of milk production in the best agricultural organizations of Belarus is comparable to the oil business, Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy said at a joint meeting of both chambers of the National Assembly.
"Milk is our currency, modernization is the future of our country, these are the new 312 and 983 reconstructed dairy products complexes that we built over the past six years." This is a powerful foundation for the country's economy and not only for today, it is the foundation for the next 30 -40 years of use of this resource,"- said Rusy.
The vice-premier noted that measures to modernize the milk processing industry allowed placing more than 60% of the total number of dairy cows on high-tech farms and complexes with modern technologies that ensure cost-effective production and high quality of milk. "The profitability of milk sales in 2016 totaled more than 14% in the country, and in the best farms 35-40% and 50%, which is similar, we will say, to the oil business," Mikhail Rusy said.
Note that the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Maxim Chekusov formed a working group on effective livestock. One of the developers of the Effective Livestock Program is the Interregional Center for Agro Industry Engineering (Omsky Biocluster is the co-founder of the Center).
