April 11, within the official visit to Omsk region, the delegation of the largest energy corporation PowerChina visited the production and infrastructure facilities of Titan Group. As a result of the visit, a four-party memorandum on cooperation in the construction of facilities in Omsk region will be signed.
The delegation, which also included representatives of the PowerChina subsidiary SEPCO1, accompanied by the head of Titan Group Mikhail Sutyaginsky, visited the company's industrial site. During the meeting, the main attention was paid to the power capacities of Titan - its own thermal power plant with a capacity of 36 MW of electricity and 600 tonnes of steam per hour.
"The construction of new facilities will require a significant increase in energy consumption," Mikhail Sutyaginsky told the guests. "We are faced with the task of building a new infrastructure that can meet the needs of the industrial site in heat, electricity and steam." He noted that the planned construction of promising productions of the company in the near future will require more than 27 MWh of electricity. For this purpose, Titan Group is studying an investment project for the construction of a combined-cycle plant with a capacity of 120 MW (PGU-120). The project is planned to be implemented in two stages.
The Chinese energy giant PowerChina and its subsidiary SEPСO1, which builds various types of power plants using traditional fuels (coal, gas) and alternative energy sources (biomass, photovoltaics), transmission facilities and transformations around the world, are considered as partners for the construction of the first turn of the thermal power plant. "Experts from Titan Group considered dozens of companies that could become partners for the new project - in Russia, Europe and Asia," commented Mikhail Sutyaginsky. "While we have fixed ourselves on PowerChina, which has many years of experience in this direction, fuel processing technologies and the opportunity to participate in the organization of project financing. Titan Group has long-standing partnerships with the PRC, I hope we will expand the areas of cooperation."
Chairman of the Board of Directors of SEPCO1, Wang Shoumin emphasized that today favorable conditions have been created for Russian-Chinese business cooperation:
"The foreign policy environment contributes to the deepening of the partnership between China and Russia. When we visited the site, we were convinced that the company has a well-developed strategy of the movement. Titan has projects under implementation, as well as promising projects that will require additional energy capacities. We can and are ready to act as partners for this project."
