Regional residents of Skolkovo will be provided with privileges, the corresponding bill will be submitted to the State Duma in the near future for consideration in the second reading.
The draft document assumes, among other things, the legislative consolidation of the possibility of obtaining benefits provided for residents of Skolkovo, to companies located outside the territory of Skolkovo in the territories of regional operators in the subjects of the Russian Federation.
In Siberia, the regional operator of Skolkovo is the Academpark, which began operating in 2006. Academpark is located in Novosibirsk (Academic Town) and performs the functions of generating, developing and commercializing innovative projects. The total amount of investments directed from 2007 to the creation and development of Academpark amounted to 11.7 billion rubles ($ 188.08 million), including 6.35 billion rubles ($ 102.08 million) of budget investments, the rest - funds from private investors.
