In September-February 2018/19 MY, the import of soybeans to Russia reached an absolute maximum of 1.1 million tons, which is 23% higher than the same period last season and 22% higher than the previous record recorded in 2016/17 MY ( 939,000 tons).
In particular, in the period under review, purchases of soybeans increased significantly from Brazil to 566,000 tons (+ 62%), Uruguay to 353,000 tons (+ 8%) and Romania to 58,000 tons (+ 84%).
