May: results of product quality and safety checks

In May, the Laboratory of Quality and Safety of Products of Animal and Vegetable Origin, Feed and Environmental Objects of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster memeber) received 508 samples. 438 samples were tested, with which 2166 studies were carried out. As a result, the laboratory specialists identified 8 samples that did not meet the requirements of regulatory documents.

 

Low protein content was found in the cottage cheese sample. Butter contained not enough fat, but also a high moisture content. Cottage cheese and cheese did not match the fatty acid composition. Sterols and fat mass mismatch are identified in dry milk and cottage cheese. The sample of seeds of oil flax did not meet the standards for organoleptic indicators (unusual color and smell). A reduced content of tebuconazole disinfectant was found in the pickled samples of barley and peas.
