Kazakhstan agrarians do not have enough grain wagons

The president of KTZH-Cargo Transportation JSC, Oralkhan Kulakov, reported about the problem with the shortage of wagons for the delivery of Kazakh grain for export, Kazinform reports.

According to him, good quantitative and qualitative indicators of the harvest led to a change in the structure of exports of grain and flour. Exports increased to distant countries, such as Italy, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, which in turn led to an increase in the transportation range and, accordingly, an increase in the demand for a fleet of wagons for the transportation of grain and covered wagons.

"The existing fleet of 9700 grain carriers with the existing structure of grain exports is not enough, whereas according to the experience of the last five years this park of grain wagons was enough to transport 1 million tons of grain," O. Kulakov said at a press conference in the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The president of JSC "KTZH - Cargo Transportation" noted that the company is working on attracting additional wagons.
