Rusagro Group intends to invest 29 billion rubles ($ 508.81 million) in the creation of a large pig-breeding complex, as well as 12 billion rubles ($ 210.54 million) in the development of chicken meat production in the Primorsky Territory. This was stated by the company's CEO Maxim Basov during the meeting on January 11 with the regional governor Andrei Tarasenko, the press service of the regional administration said.
"Pig-breeding project plans to build 7 complexes for 3 thousand sows each, as well as a modern elevator, feed mill and slaughter, as early as May of this year tribal pigs will be brought in, at full capacity the enterprise will be released in early 2020," Maxim Basov specified, noting that the implementation of the project will provide fresh pork at an affordable price to the entire market of the Far East. The parties also discussed the development of dairy farming in Kirovsky district and the construction of a plant for the production of soy isolates in Ussuriysk.
