A dangerous quarantine insect was identified by specialists from the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) in two batches of flowers brought to Omsk region.
The object of verification was pelargonium produced in Russia, and chrysanthemum 'Carnival' from the Netherlands. The laboratory found in both cases a dangerous insect - a western (Californian) flower thrips. Specialists of the Omsk Reference Center sent information to the Omsk Branch of Rosselkhoznadzor.
