The Expert Veterinary Laboratory of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) received five samples of semi-finished meat products for testing (state assignment for microbiological indicators). All samples contained pathogenic microorganisms (Listeria).
Listeria can penetrate the cells of living plants. The main source of pathogenic listeria are pets and people with listeriosis. Excrement from patients and carriers as part of non-disinfected effluents can enter ponds and soil, infecting animals and plants. L.monocytogenes is able to maintain viability and multiply in a wide range of temperatures and pH values, withstand freezing, drying, the presence of salt (10-20%) and phenolic smoke elements.
