Deputy Director of the Department of Food and Processing Industry of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Vladimir Skvortsov noted that the growth of meat production directly contributes to the growth of its processing. As a result, growth in the production of semi-finished meat products amounted to 106.4%. The growth index of cheeses and cheese products was 103.4%, liquid milk and processed milk - 102.2%. Growth rates have also been maintained in such sectors as mineral waters, frozen fruits and vegetables, confectionery, mayonnaise, vegetable oils, etc.
