Russian Ministry of Agriculture predicts crop growth

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture predicts an increase in the grain harvest in Russia by 1424 to 141 million tons, grain exports - 59.5 million tons. This is stated in a presentation by the director of the plant growing department of the Ministry Roman Nekrasov, during the Golden Autumn Agricultural Exhibition.

 

As follows from the presentation, the grain harvest in the Russian Federation in 2021 may amount to 131 million tons, export - 50.9 million tons. For comparison: according to the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev, grain harvest in 2019 may amount to 120 million tons, including 78 million tons of wheat; and in 2018, the grain harvest in Russia amounted to 113.2 million tons, including 72.1 million tons of wheat.

 

According to the materials of the Ministry of Agriculture, by 2024 the gross yield of oilseeds will increase to 29.3 million tons against 22.5 million tons in 2021, oil exports during this period will grow from 5.9 million tons to 9 million tons. In 2018 the yield of seeds and oilseeds amounted to 19.5 million tons, including 12.75 million tons of sunflower and about 4 million tons of soy.

 

As of October 11, 3.143 million tons of grain was threshed in the Omsk region with a yield of 16.4 kg / ha, 230 400 tons of oilseeds were threshed, flax harvesting was completed (in terms of flax fiber 5399.2 tons). Gross harvest of potatoes amounted to 438,400 tons with a yield of 182.3 c / ha.
