Agrarians of Kurgan region will increase costs for new equipment 1.5 times

Agricultural producers of Kurgan region intend to purchase in 2018 new agricultural equipment for 3 billion rubles ($ 53 million). This is 50% more than in 2017, TASS reported.

According to the first deputy governor - director of the regional agro-industrial department Sergei Pugin, in 2017 Kurgan agricultural enterprises spent about 2 billion rubles ($ 35.33 million) to purchase new equipment. In 2018, the amount could rise to 3 billion rubles ($ 53 million) due to a good harvest in 2017 and good financial results of agricultural producers.

Sergei Pugin noted that regional authorities provide support to agrarians: investor costs are subsidized, there is a mechanism for concessional lending, and some producers are granted tax incentives. In addition to the federal program, according to which agricultural producers can buy machinery at a 15% discount, the regional authorities have direct agreements with some of the equipment manufacturers.

Thanks to them, the total discount for the purchase of equipment reaches 25%.
