In January 2019, the Omsk region shipped 194.7 thousand tons of grain by rail. The average daily loading of cars amounted to 90.1 cars. A total of 2,792 wagons were shipped in January, of which 870 were exported.
The following crops are mainly shipped: wheat (135 thousand tons), barley (42.5 thousand tons), flax seeds (7.6 thousand tons), seed oil crops (6.5 thousand tons), peas (2 thousand tons). The majority of Omsk grain is purchased by other regions of Russia. The main importing country is Egypt, and in January, grain from the Omsk region was shipped to Turkey, China, Belarus, Bangladesh, Mongolia, Japan, Iran, Latvia, Norway, Saudi Arabia and Germany.
