Q1 2020, the volume of poultry production for slaughter in live weight in Russia amounted to 1.6 million tons, according to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
Thus, the indicator increased by 2.4% compared to the same period in 2019. Also, in the first three months of this year, egg production increased by 1.7% in the country. From January to March 2020, egg farms in Russia produced 10.7 billion eggs. The Ministry of Agriculture expects that in 2020 poultry production will reach 6.74 million tons, which is 0.5% more than last year, and egg production will grow by 0.1% to reach 44.91 billion eggs.
