Chicken meat has become the driver of meat exports

Chicken meat became the leader of Russia's meat exports last year. Its supplies abroad amounted to 164 thousand tons for $ 173 million out of total meat exports of 259 thousand tons to $ 352 million.

According to Anton Khokhlov, the head of the projects of the Russian Export Center (REC), the main destination countries for Russian exports of chicken meat are Ukraine, Vietnam, Hong Kong and Kazakhstan. "At the same time, most of the goods from Vietnam and Hong Kong are forwarded to China, direct supplies to which from most Russian regions have not yet been resolved," the representative of the REC said. Other important buyers of chicken are Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Armenia and the United Arab Emirates.

Today, Russia fully meets its needs for chicken meat.
