Khabarovsk Agroport will be launched by autumn 2019

In August 2019, a seaport (built as part of the 'Far East - 1' joint project of Russia and China) is scheduled for commissioning in Khabarovsk. As a result, the city will become the largest regional hub for the export of agricultural products.

At the first stage, the port capacity will amount to 100K tons and will increase tenfold in five years. It is planned to ship cargo from the port to China, Japan, Korea and the northern territories of the Khabarovsk Territory. It is also planned to attract barges that will transport cargo across Amur and Ussuri (China has already built 6 out of 28 units), and in the future the number of barges will be 40 units, they will be able to transport cargo to Harbin. In addition, the Chinese side has already built receiving terminals for Russian agricultural products in Fuyuan and Tunztsyan.

The project gives prospects for the development of the production of milk and meat in the northern regions of the region - it will be possible to deliver feed for livestock from the new port there. It is also expected that new processing facilities will appear in Khabarovsk.

The project for the development of integrated transport traffic 'Far East - 1' involved the Regional Agricultural Fund, the Chinese company Dongjin Group and the Agency of the Far East to Attract Investment and Export Support. Project was supported by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, Yuri Trutnev, and the Minister of Agriculture of China. Investment in the project amounted to 7.4B RUR ($ 111.41M).
