Rostov-on-Don became the venue for the solemn ceremony of signing a memorandum between Sheikh Ahmed Bin Khalifa Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa (Kingdom of Bahrain) and the head of EuroDon and Donstar companies Vadim Vaneev (Rostov region) on long-term cooperation aimed at promoting Don products to markets of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as in the countries participating in the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Persian Gulf and the countries of the Middle East.
The parties decided to establish a joint venture. According to the memorandum, the representatives of Bahrain took responsibility for establishing trade relations with retail trade, the obligation to organize the company's business in the Kingdom, obtaining the necessary permits and licenses, contacting local and regional food networks and restaurants, organizing accounting and tax reporting in accordance with the laws of Bahrain. For their part, Vaneev's companies confirmed their readiness to export about 30,000 tons of products per year and manage their trading activities.
The parties agreed on a phased implementation of the project. The primary tasks are the formation of the team to launch the project, the development and harmonization of commercial parameters, the determination of the range of supply of products, negotiations and conclusion of contractual obligations with retail companies, the specification of business plans.
"Our companies produced more than 88.5 thousand tons of turkey and duck meat in 2017," the head of the agricultural holding Vadim Vaneev said at the ceremony. "In 2018, 150 thousand tons of turkey and 29 thousand tons of duck are expected to be produced in live weight. We are developing a project to increase the production of duck meat to 70,000 tons and we plan to create our own breeding and genetic center." According to the management of EuroDon Group, the first trial delivery of poultry meat is scheduled to begin in September this year. The initial investment in the project is estimated at $ 200 thousand.
