Evonik is going to finish the plant for grain processing in Rostov

Construction of the plant for grain deep processing Donbiotech is planned to be completed by the end of 2019, Vasily Golubev, Governor of Rostov region, told this in an interview with Kommersant-Yug. According to him, an investor is being searched for, which will complete the construction of the enterprise, as well as working with banks.

 

"The total cost of the plant is 15bn RUR ($ 225.32m), 11-12 bn RUR ($ 165 - 180m) have already been invested in. The project did not stop, I think that during Q3 we will know exactly the position of the banks, if the situation is favorable, the project will be implemented by the end of 2019," said the head of the region. Earlier, a representative of Evonik Industries, which is a project partner, confirmed plans for the completion of the plant.

 

Donbiotech LLC capacity should be 250 thousand tons per year. Earlier it was reported that the company intends to produce 100 thousand tons of lysine, about 20 thousand tons of gluten, 11 thousand tons of starch and 95 thousand tons of bran per year. Evonik Industries intend to export to the Middle East significant part of the production. It is noted that during the implementation of the project has risen from 8 to 15bn RUR (from $ 120.17m to $ 225.32m).
