The state can stop supporting the dairy industry in five years, Russian Agriculture Minister Alexander Tkachev made a statement at the International Agro-Industrial Dairy Forum, agro.ru reported.
"State support and investments can be stopped in five years, we will not support milk, we will go to other sectors, where there is a need for investment," he said. The minister called on businesses to engage in dairy farming more actively, while state support is still in place. Tkachev noted that milk has a good export potential in the Persian Gulf countries and China.
