On February 9, the Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsky Biocluster member) took part in the citywide popular festival of science and knowledge within the framework of the international project 'Open Laboratory 2019'. The University’s Scientific Agricultural Library has become an event venue. About 100 people took part in the research event: students, teachers, university staff, students from Omsk schools, Omsk residents.
The event was opened by Yury Novikov, Vice-Rector for Research of the Omsk State Agrarian University. The participants of the laboratory had to answer 25 basic and 2 additional quiz questions from various scientific fields: physics, chemistry, biology, astronomy, and geography within 30 minutes. After completing the assignments, the participants got acquainted with the correct answers, analyzed each assignment in detail. The participants watched the popular science film 'Physics at Home', as well as a fascinating show in physics and chemistry, which was conducted by university professors.
