Kazakhstan has increased vegetable oils exports by more than 40%

According to the Customs Control Committee of the Kazakhstan Ministry of Finance, the vegetable oils exports in 2018 reached a record volume of 151,800 tons (+ 43% compared to 2017). The main share in shipments is sunflower oil, deliveries to foreign markets of which for the reporting period amounted to 67,900 tons versus 45,000 tons a year earlier.

 

The largest buyer of this type of oil was China with a volume of 28,000 tons (41% of all export batches). The second and third lines in the TOP importers ranking in 2018 were taken by Tajikistan (19,500 tons, or 29%) and Uzbekistan (18,600 tons, or 27%).

 

It should also be noted a significant increase in rapeseed oil exports. At the end of last year, the volume of products shipped reached 28,300 tons, which is 3.2 times more than in 2017. Almost the entire volume of oil was supplied to China (26,000 tons, or 92%).

 

In addition, China is the main buyer of linseed oil of Kazakhstan origin. Its exports in 2018 from Kazakhstan reached 22,530 tons, of which 22,480 tons were shipped to China. For comparison: at the end of 2017, the shipment of flaxseed oil amounted to 18,300 tons.
