Deputy Governor of the agro-industry of Kemerovo region Alexey Kharitonov told about the decision of the regional Administration to double the amount of support for the purchase of milk from rural households.
The price of the winter purchase of milk from farmers is 2 rubles per liter ($ 0.032), in the summer - 4 rubles ($ 0.065). Alexey Kharitonov noted that in 2018 this subsidy will be allocated 49 million rubles ($ 793.29 thousand). Last year, the amount of support amounted to 28.5 million rubles ($ 461.4 thousand), for which 17 thousand tons of milk were purchased. The milk supply of Kemerovo region is currently estimated at 60%. Last year, 382.6 thousand tons of milk were produced in farms of all categories.
