The sowing campaign continues in Omsk region. As of May 13, spring crops were planted on an area of 209,700 hectares (in 2018, 19,300 hectares).
Thanks to good weather, farmers are sowing spring crops ahead of schedule than last year, which as of May 13 was 209,700 hectares or 7.8% of the plan. Of these, cereals and leguminous crops were sown on an area of 117,400 hectares. Sowing of oilseeds amounted to 49,200 hectares or 15.9% of the plan (rapeseed, oilseed flax, soybean, sunflower, camelina). All areas of the region began spring planting.
