Nine distilleries in North Ossetia will produce bioethanol

Nine idle at present distilleries in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania are ready to be redeveloped for the production of bioethanol. Such statement on August 14 in Vladikavkaz was made by the head of the republican department for state regulation of production and turnover of alcoholic and alcohol-containing products Batraz Khidirov, TASS reported.

 

"The Government of the Republic held negotiations and obtained consent for the re-profiling of nine idle distilleries, currently the information is collected and preliminary negotiations with equipment suppliers, and the study of technology," Khidirov said. He added that the adoption of the law regulating the production and turnover of bioethanol will greatly contribute to the development of this sector in the region. Such a law is planned to be considered in the second reading at the autumn session of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
