Friendly and solvent markets are waiting for Russian food

There are a large number of countries in the world that are ready to import starches, amino acids, molasses and various food ingredients from Russia, so the development of grain processing in the coming years should be one of the main directions of development of the Russian agricultural sector. Now, Russian food has excellent opportunities for expansion into the markets of Asian countries with a population of more than 3.4B people.

"The development of processing will give domestic grain producers stable markets with a predictable and relatively high price for their products. And this is the foundation for stable and long-term development of both large agricultural enterprises and farms," said Oleg Radin, president of the Roskrahmalpatoka Industry Association. "If the products are high-quality, then we have good opportunities to sell them on the world market, and in large volumes."

Amilko company from Rostov region is engaged in deep processing of corn, buying 250K tons of this crop annually from farmers. Almost half of the finished products are exported. The demand is such that in the coming years the company intends to double the volume of processing, increase the production of industrial modified starches and feed products.

Today, food preferences are changing dramatically, acquiring a global character. Asian countries, instead of rice, are switching to wheat products, and the demand for chicken, which also eats feed and food additives from grain, is growing. These are huge markets with a solvent population friendly to Russia and Russian products. You can also take the countries of North Africa and the League of Arab States. Arabs have long been the importers of Russian grain, and today they are ready to buy processed products, and even ready-made halal meat products.
