Caution: chicken meat!

Roskontrol (non-profit organization) conducted an examination of semi-finished products from chicken, more precisely chicken broilers: thighs with chilled skin, made under the brands Petelinka, Rzhevskoe Podvorye, Miratorg, Yasnye Zori, To Chto Nado!, Kazhdy Den.

Many claims arose already at the stage of visual inspection of products: signs of freezing were found in three samples (Petelinka, Miratorg, Yasnye Zori). According to the results of microstructural (histological) analysis, the products of Miratorg, in addition, were injected with salt solutions to increase the mass of the product. Chicken thigh of the trade mark Rzhevskoe Podvorye also caused suspicion about the probable injection and massaging (the bird is massaged so that the solution spreads more evenly). Traces of ammonia burn are visible on the skin of the samples To Chto Nado! and Kazhdy Den, which indicates unsatisfactory conditions of keeping the bird. The thighs of the brands Yasnye Zori, Rzhevskoe Podvorye, Kazhdy Den are poorly bled. Unpleasant smell is of meat Kazhdy Den and broth from it.

Hormones are not detected by the test, but antibiotics and antimicrobials have been found immediately in four semi-finished products. These are Miratorg, Rzhevskoe Podvorye, To Chto Nado! and Kazhdy Den. It should be noted that traces of veterinary drugs in food are rare for experts. The last time antibiotics were found in the minced meat of Miratorg brand.

The nutritional value of the samples is also not ideal. The protein content in all brands, except for Yasnye Zori, was less than indicated in the marking. Other indicators of nutritional value also differ significantly from those claimed.

All samples are included in the Roscontrol Blacklist.
