January 14-16, Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) became the venue for the 'Winter School' - training camps for the regional stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of Biology Students.
During this time, students in grades 9-11 will attend classes in zoology, genetics, botany, biochemistry, human biology, entomology, and will acquire practical skills in techniques: preparing sections of vegetative organs of plants, determining the systematic position of plants, studying physiological processes in plant cells; on insect systematics, on microscopic studies of animal tissues, will carry out qualitative reactions to the main classes of organic substances, morphological descriptions of plants, and much more. The Winter School is held in Omsk State Agrarian University not for the first year, classes are conducted by teachers of university chairs.
