February 15, First Deputy Chairman of Omsk region Government Valery Boyko held a working meeting with the heads of the Agrobiotechnological and Petrochemical Industrial Clusters of Omsk region.
The parties discussed the development of industrial clusters on the territory of Omsk region, the current status of the preparation of Road Maps for each cluster. Valery Boyko noted that the Government of Omsk region decided to provide in the regional budget a total of 180 million rubles ($ 3.2 million) for support industry:
"The program for the development of the Omsk industry was adopted four years ago without a penny to support. Now there are two positions in the regional development budget. This is 80 million rubles ($ 1.42 million) for financing activities of the Omsk Region Industrial Development Fund and 100 million rubles ($ 1.78 million) for the infrastructure development of enterprises, primarily in the region of manufacturing."
Valery Boyko emphasized that he expects real investment projects from the cluster participants, first of all, in the sphere of deep processing of raw materials of Omsk region. The parties agreed to intensify the work in this direction.
