Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Rosselkhoznadzor) will not impose a ban on the supply of dairy products from Belarus, which was scheduled for March 15, next week the specialists of the service will inspect the Belarusian enterprises. This was reported to journalists by the official representative of Rosselkhoznadzor Yulia Melano.
"The Rosselkhoznadzor has decided not to introduce a ban on import of dairy raw materials from the territory of Belarus from tomorrow, but next week we will inspect Belarusian enterprises supplying dairy products to Russia to comply with Russian requirements and norms," Melano said.
In addition, Russia and Belarus signed a roadmap on the procedure for lifting restrictions on the supply of Belarusian livestock products to Russia in 2018, while Belarus promised not to allow the import to Russia of products under the sanctions ban. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.
"The parties agreed to observe the balances of supply and demand for livestock products through the integration of Belarusian and Russian information systems to control the transit of products, as well as in the near future to inspect Belarusian enterprises that supply livestock products to Russia, the safety of which is of concern to the Russian authorities," noted the ministry. In addition, the countries agreed that Belarus will take 'exhaustive steps' to prevent the importation of sanctioned agricultural products into Russia. Earlier, the Rosselkhoznadzor repeatedly stopped the import from Belarus of allegedly sanctioned products under the guise of goods allowed for import.
