The grain yield in Russia in the current agricultural year can reach 110-115 million tons, the export potential is 50-52 million tons. This assessment was voiced by Anatoly Kutsenko, Director of the Department of Economics, Investments and Regulation of Agroindustry Markets of the Ministry of Agriculture.
"According to the estimates that we see in the south what favorable conditions are there, 110-115 million tons is that potential, if there are no cataclysms," Anatoly Kutsenko said. Previously, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia forecasted a crop for the current agricultural year at a rate of 106-110 million tons.
Speaking about the export opportunities of the Russian grain market, Kutsenko gave a forecast of wheat export volume of 36-37 million tons. The director of the department associates the increase in forecast with the volume of grain stocks from the previous year and export rates, noting that the export traffic weekly is about 1 million tons.
