Omsky Biocluster at the XVth Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum

April 12 - 15, Krasnoyarsk was the venue for the XV Krasnoyarsk Economic Forum, in which Mikhail Sutyaginsky, the head of the Titan Group, the chairman of the Board of Directors of Titan-Agro LLC (member of Omsky Biocluster), took part. Participants in the Forum 'Russia 2018-2024: realizing the potential' for several days discussed topical issues, in particular, priority projects for the development of the Siberian regions.

The panel discussion 'Industrial Clusters and Technoparks as Drivers of Regional Economic Growth: Investment Potential and Opportunities for Cooperation' was attended by Mikhail Sutyaginsky, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Titan Group, and Rasim Galyamov, Minister of Economy of Omsk region. Andrey Shpilenko, Director of the Association of Clusters and Technoparks, moderated the discussion. He asked Mikhail Sutyaginsky, as the head of an industrial company and chairman of the Business Russia (All-Russian Non-Profit Organization) committee on chemical industry, biotechnology and new materials, to evaluate clusters as a mechanism for the development of small and medium-sized businesses.

Answering the question, Mikhail Sutyaginsky noted that now Omsk region is developing a bank of projects for small and medium-sized businesses based on two industrial clusters - Petrochemical and Agrobiotechnological. "Omsk region has an ambitious goal today - to become the region No. 1 for the development of small-tonnage chemistry on the basis of two clusters. The number of cluster members is increasing. Titan Group in the near future on its industrial site will begin production of three basic products: phenol, acetone and isopropyl alcohol. We hope that this fact will significantly increase the number of cluster members precisely at the expense of small and medium businesses."

The head of the Business Russia Committee made a special emphasis on the ecological component of cluster projects, the effectiveness of which is enhanced by the use of renewable raw materials and deep processing of petrochemical raw materials. Concluding the speech, Mikhail Sutyaginsky invited representatives of Russia's clusters to hold a meeting in Omsk region, including visit the site of Titan Group: "We can show our achievements, we have real projects."

The initiative on the exchange of regional practices in the field of cluster implementation was supported by Rasim Galyamov and Andrey Shpilenko.

Information. Agrobiotechnological and Petrochemical Industrial Clusters were established in the region in 2016. They were the first in the Siberian Federal District to enter the register of industrial clusters of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia. Today they unite more than 30 organizations and entrepreneurs.
