Omsk State Agrarian University meets British researchers

Researchers at Hartpury University College (Gloucester, England), veterinarian James Swanson and agronomist Patrick Tandy visited Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsky Biocluster member). The visit took place within the framework of the Erasmus + international academic mobility program and the interuniversity agreement. From June 3 to 14, guests from England took part in exciting academic and excursion events organized by the university, including a visit to the faculty of veterinary medicine.

James Swanson held a public lecture on 'Limping in dairy cows', in which he reviewed the current state of dairy farming in the UK, some of the consequences of the impact of high productivity on cow health. On June 11, an international round table 'Livestock Development in the Modern World: Problems and Prospects' was held at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, to which professors, leading teachers and young scientists were invited.

This was the first collaboration of the Omsk State Agrarian University with England, and the university intends to continue and develop such a collaboration in the future.
