July 15 Omsk State Agrarian University (Omsky Biocluster member) became the site of the opening of the International Summer School - 2019 'Problems of Functional Nutrition in the XXI Century: an Interdisciplinary Agro-Medical Approach.' Classes will be held during the current week in collaboration with Omsk State Medical University.
Four students from Indonesia, one from Brazil and Tunisia, three from Kazakhstan, five from Omsk State Medical University and one from Omsk State Agrarian University take part in the work of the International Summer School. During the week, students of agricultural and medical universities will receive modern interdisciplinary knowledge in the field of organic products and functional nutrition. Students of agricultural universities will have a unique opportunity to learn about the positive effects of functional products on the human body directly from highly qualified specialists in the field of medicine, and medical students will learn more about organic farming and eco-products for healthy functional nutrition. In addition, the Summer School will include practical experience and excursions to local farms where organic products are produced, familiarity with the organic industry, participation in a cooking class, and a rich cultural program.
