The rise in prices for chicken meat has not reached the limit

Prices for chicken meat increased by 10–12% in Russia. So, a kilogram of chicken meat six months ago could have been bought for 122 RUR ($ 1.85), and in September the price had risen to 140 RUR ($ 2.12). Manufacturers believe that the rise in prices for meat was caused by a rise in price for feed, as well as a dry summer, because of which animals not only did not gain weight, but also died.

Experts note that production at large poultry farms has fallen and a deficit has arisen, while there is still high demand for chicken meat. The process of reducing imports of meat was accompanied by the replacement, including the volume of domestic meat of broilers, which led to an increase in consumption and production.

According to experts, the increase in prices for chicken meat has not reached its limit.
