Chickens became cheaper in Russia

In November, chilled and frozen chickens in Russia cost an average of RUR 143.44 per kg ($ 2.29), which is 0.9% less than in the previous month, and 3.4% less than in November 2018. Since the beginning of the year, the price has fallen by 6.2%.

 

Since January 2017, the minimum price for chickens in Russia was fixed in April 2018 (RUR 121.77 per kg, $ 1.94); the maximum pricewas fixed in January 2019 (RUR 152.92 per kg, $ 2.44). The most expensive chickens in November 2019 were sold in the Far Eastern Federal District (RUR 199.15 per kg, $ 3.17), the cheapest ones in the Volga Federal District (RUR 128.58 per kg, $ 2.05).
