April 18, the meeting of the board of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region with the participation of the head of Omsk region Alexander Burkov and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Maxim Chekusov took place in the building of the Government of Omsk region.
Alexander Burkov noted as a priority task of the agroindustry of Omsk region the need to increase the share of exports of agro-industrial products of the region and implement investment projects for the deep processing of vegetable and animal raw materials, as well as eggs. The head of the region instructed the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region to form a system for providing effective methodological assistance to start-up farmers.
The main report was made by the Minister of Agriculture and Food of Omsk region Maxim Chekusov who summed up the results of the agro-industry of the region for 2017 and outlined the tasks for 2018. The rector of the Omsk State Agrarian University (member of Omsky Biocluster) Oksana Shumakova delivered a report on the training of personnel for the agro-industry in OmSAU.
The issues of increasing the efficiency of the agroindustry in Omsk region are 'Genetics & Breeding of Cattle' Practice of Omsky Biocluster. The Practice is an expert site on the audit of feeding and care of the herd, selection of genetics and implementation of cattle breeding. Experts of the Practice carry out practical activities to improve the efficiency of the functioning of farms and increase the financial result, first of all, from the available resources.
