Plant quarantine: the results of the first half of 2018

The Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor (member of Omsky Biocluster) for the first half of 2018 analyzed more than 18.5 thousand samples, of which domestic products - 16974 samples, imported quarantine products - 1278.

 

The laboratory issued 17,449 conclusions in the field of plant quarantine, including conclusions on the phytosanitary condition of quarantine products and the facility, and quarantine expertise reports. Experts carried out about 36 thousand examinations, of which: entomological - 18316; herbological - 16486; phytohelminthic - 776, and also 203 mycological, 123 bacteriological and 94 virological.

 

Head of the laboratory Artem Velegurov:

"6 types of quarantine facilities were found in 48 cases during phytosanitary examinations (diaspididae, Western (Californian) flower thrips, dodder thin-stemmed, ragweed, golden potato nematode. 35 types of non-quarantine objects were found in more than 12347 cases."

 

The Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of Rosselkhoznadzor renders a complex of services in the field of plant quarantine to companies and individuals in the case of import / export of products outside Omsk region, as well as in the cultivation, production and sale of plant products. Experts conduct surveys of fields, forest plantations, warehouses, granaries in order to identify quarantine objects.
