The production of turkey meat in Russia for the past five years has grown by 68.7%, from 138.1 thousand tons to 233 thousand tons, calculated in BusinesStat. Analysts of the company attribute this growth to the appearance in the domestic market of such large companies as Eurodon and Tambovskaya Indeyka.
BusinesStat predicts that in 2018-2022 the release of turkey meat in Russia will grow by 11.6-18.1% per year. In 2022, it will reach 471,400 tons in slaughter weight, which will double the value of 2017. Experts believe that the market will grow both at the expense of increasing the capacity of existing companies, and through the emergence of new companies. The number of announced investment projects for turkey is constantly increasing.
It is important to note that the export of turkey meat is also growing. It is assumed that in 2022 the supply of this meat abroad will amount to 45 thousand tons of finished products, which will exceed the indicator of 2017 by 16.4 times.
