Alexander Kupryakov: agro should be technological and energy efficient

Alexander Kupryakov, Acting Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory - Minister of Agricultural Production and Rural Development, in an exclusive interview with Omsky Biocluster told how the agro-industry of the Khabarovsk Territory lives and develops, about efforts to attract investors to the region, about the criteria for the effectiveness of the business model, and also about the success of the Harvest Festival Exhibition-Fair in Khabarovsk.

Alexander Kupryakov noted that grocery balance leveling in the region is a systematic, manageable process. The joint efforts of the Government and agribusinesses allowed the region to increase the level of self-sufficiency in eggs and potatoes, respectively, by 78% and 93%. Already in the six months of this year, the increase in production of livestock and poultry meat reached 85%, by milk - 92%, by egg - 107%.

Speaking about resources for the development of the regional agricultural sector, Alexander Kupryakov noted that the Government of the Khabarovsk Territory considers the rationality of the use of resources as one of the core criteria for the efficiency of the production business model:

"If we develop resources only by increasing the acreage, the construction of new energy facilities, this is completely inadequate. Our efforts should be directed towards maximum manufacturability and energy efficiency."
