Start'Up'Academia conducted the business game in Omsk State University

October 16, the StartUpAcademia team of Omsky Bioсluster organized a business game for first-year students of the Faculty of Economics of the Dostoevsky Omsk State University. The moderator was the managing partner of Raedium Investments LLC, deputy chairman of the Board of Trustees of StartUpAcademia of Omsky Bioсluster, Ph.D. Anatoly Shastin.

Each participant of the business game received a role which implies definite goals, interests and tools for business processes. In order to gain an advantage and show high effectiveness, players needed to cooperate and interact with each other, to find creative and non-standard solutions. The participants quickly got accustomed to the role, began to negotiate among themselves, made deals and tried to cooperate to protect their interests, since the goals of the players were often contradictory.

At the end of the game the most successful students were identified. The participants were explained their strengths and weaknesses, and the tools used were disassembled in detail. Each participant was able to improve their negotiating skills, the ability to enter into transactions and build a strategy to achieve their goals.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees of StartUpAcademia of Omsky Biocluster, Director of Alliance LLC Andrei Vizmintinov

"A business game develops management skills and provides an opportunity to understand what competencies need to be improved. Such a format for conducting business games for students is already becoming a good tradition for StartUpAcademia. We are grateful for the assistance in conducting the game to the department 'Innovation and Project Management' of the Faculty of Economics of Dostoevsky Omsk State University. The StartUpAcademia team will continue to organize and conduct business games in the Omsk universities."
