A.Tkachev held a final meeting with the regions

The minister said that 2017 was another stage in the dynamic development of the industry. Over the past three years, growth has been more than 11%. According to the results of the current year, the growth of the agro-industrial complex will be about 3%, primarily due to a record grain harvest and the preservation of growth rates in livestock production at the level of 4%.

The production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 4% to 14.6 million tons. The most dynamic growth is recorded in the production of poultry meat - by 7% and pork - by 5%. Egg production increased by 3%. This year, it was possible to compensate for the decline in milk production in the households due to growth in agricultural organizations and farms. Milk production in agricultural organizations increased by 4%, and in farms - by 8%.

According to Alexander Tkachev, good production figures allow us to confidently increase the export potential of the Russian agribusiness. Export of food for 9 months increased by 19% to $ 14 billion.
