In January-February of this year, the volume of production of pigs for slaughter in live weight increased by 7.3% compared with the same period last year and amounted to 663,900 tons, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reports.
"The main increase in the production of pigs for slaughter in the reporting period was provided by the Belgorod, Voronezh, Chelyabinsk, Kursk and Lipetsk regions, as well as the Krasnodar Territory," the report said.
