Kazakhstan will sell meat at $ 2.6b

The Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan forecasted revenues of $ 2.6 billion from meat exports in 2021. China, Russia, Iran, Vietnam and Saudi Arabia should become the main markets for beef and lamb in the near future.

 

"The positions on which Kazakhstan has a high export potential are determined. This is primarily meat products, including beef and lamb. The analysis showed that with the appropriate support, the volume of exports for these types of products could reach $ 2.6b," says the release distributed by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Vice Minister Arman Evniev believes that Kazakhstan has key factors for the successful development of the meat industry: pasture lands, irrigated arable land, labor and nomadic past.

 

At the same time, the domestic market of Kazakhstan depends on imports for such products as poultry meat, apples, cheeses and cottage cheese, sausages and fish.
