In the eight months of this year, the production of pigs for slaughter in live weight in Russian companies reached 2.65M tons (+ 10.5% compared to last year's figure), the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation reported.
Voronezh region, whose agricultural organizations gave out 71.6K tons, was ahead. Also the main growth in production was provided by Kursk (30.3K tons) and Belgorod regions (28K tons). They are followed by Pskov (23,8K tons) and Tambov regions (20,7K tons).
