Special investment contracts are allowed in the agroindusty now

The Russian government has expanded the scope of application of special investment contracts (SPIC) to the agro-industrial complex. Such a statement was made by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev at a meeting with vice prime ministers on December 18, the government press service reported.

As noted by Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich, the practice of the government in recent years has shown the demand for this form of investment. SPIC means simplification of the procedures for applying for the conclusion of special investment contracts, more precise regulation of negotiations on the conclusion of the SPIC, its transparency. The procedure provides for reducing the time for consideration of investors' proposals, detailing the mechanisms and requirements within the procedure, the Deputy Prime Minister explained.
