European pork exports tripled in the last 20 years

According to the latest report published by the Committee on the General Organization of Agricultural Markets, pork exports from Europe tripled over the past 20 years, reaching from 1 238 138 tons in 1998 to 3 927 308 tons in 2008. A comparison with 1995 (881,011 tons) shows that European exports have quadrupled over the past 23 years.

 

It is necessary to note the peak of 2016 (4,159,093 tons), at which the volume of shipments to China reached 1,859,565 tons, taking a share of 44.9% in the total volume and having increased, compared to 2015, by 63%.
