From 2019, the Omsk region will start supporting farmers in the acquisition of drying currents.
"Last year showed that many owners of granaries sometimes behaved in a dishonorable manner. The grain had a high moisture content, taking into account the prevailing weather conditions in which the harvest took place. The owners of the granaries sometimes used their advantage and played for lower prices, the farmers were forced in any case to give up the grain so that it would not deteriorate, because there were no conditions for drying and cleaning the grain. We want to give farmers the opportunity to purchase grain drying equipment, offsetting part of the costs from the regional budget. The goal: to get away from the monopoly of granaries, on the complete dependence of the producers. I think this will increase both the volume of finished products and the output of high-quality grain," Alexander Burkov, Governor of the Omsk region, said.
