The quarantine pest (thrips) was found by experts of the Laboratory of Quarantine Phytosanitary Examinations and Surveys of the Omsk Reference Center of the Rosselkhoznadzor (Omsky Biocluster member) in a batch of lobelia seedlings brought to the Omsk region.
A quarantine pest (Western (Californian) flower thrips) was identified during analyzes. This insect is equally dangerous for both flower and ornamental plants, as well as for vegetable crops. Information about the results was sent to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (Omsk Branch).
